August 12, 2008)--The Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas is warning worshippers to beware of a bogus bishop who charges for religious services that priests perform for free.
Bishop Kevin Farrell says the Archbishop of Acapulco, Mexico has contacted him about a man named Martin Davila Gandara who’s evidently operating in the Dallas area.
Farrell says the man is not a bishop and is not associated with the Roman Catholic Church.
Some of the services, such as baptisms, allegedly were offered in such places as motels for fees ranging from $100 to $200
